OPEIU Local 109 represents the line pilots at Air Methods, one of the largest air medical service providers in North America. As part of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), Local 109 advocates for fair wages, workplace safety and improved working conditions for aviation professionals who provide critical emergency medical transport services.
What we do

Collective bargaining & contract enforcement: We negotiate and enforce contracts that cover wages, work rules, benefits, seniority, safety protocols, and grievance procedures for our members.

Safety & professionalism: Our members operate in high-risk environments. Local 109 prioritizes safety standards, training support, and policies that protect both crew and patients.
